Hi Sridhar,

Confirmation in SRM is equivalent to creating a GR in ECC. Hence as a user if you have created a PO, then you can create confirmation (GR) for your own PO.

However a person with central confirmation role will be able to create confirmation for POs belonging to different users. So he is equivalent to a central goods recipient.

Nikhil

Hi,

In addition to Nikhil & Ritesh explanations

/SAPSRM/RECIPIENT is the role which will allow to confirm the goods requested by others in addition to the users own shopping carts.

Above role will allow to confirm the goods for both SRM & ECC Purchase orders created by any requester.

/SAPSRM/EMPLOYEE - is the requester specific role through which user can only confirm his own shopping carts / PO's.

Best regards,

Krish

Hi Sridhar,

To add what Nikhil already explain, Confirmation are mostly created for your own Shopping cart. If you are on SRM 7.0 and using POWL queries for requester then you will see confirmation button. In POWL of SC you will see Confirmation button. Thus, requester who have created SC can create their goods receipt / confirmation in SRM.

For Central confirmation,User can do confirmation for SC created by other person. Apart from that if you have Direct material purchasing in ECC (i.e. plant materials) then for those PO also you can do receiving in SRM with Central confirmation roles. Benefits it gives is Central receiver can use better UI with SRM net weaver portal and do not have go to into ECC.

Hope this helps clear your doubts.

Thank you

Ritesh
