Hi ALL,
I am in a process of configuring FAX in our SAP server we are on Linux (MAX-DB)
In SCOT i have created a node under FAX as SXC1.
I have assigned the node to an RFC destination under TCP/IP and assigned an " PROGRAM ID " .
When i do an connection test it is ended up with an error

I was trying to register the program using below mentioned command using <SIDADM> with putty but still the error persists
rfcexec -gZTEST -a<host> -xsapgw59
when i execute the above command there is no action happening just exiting the screen
Please help me in moving forward i cannot see the entry in SMGW also.

Hi Vardhan,
To send fax from SCOT or from SAP you needto use third party software like ( KoFax).
I am currently using KoFax and its working fine for me.You can install trial version of KoFax software in a PC and try for outbound fax.
On the SCOT you have to configure a node ( as follows) for FAX and that will intern based on RFC conncetion. It will not use your SMTP protocol

As far as i know you send fax with SMTP nowadays. Thus if you really want to send out FAX, then you need a third party software able to receive documents over SMTP.
What you were trying to configure is a third party software able to connect with RFC. You would need to tell that software to register as "PROGRAM ID" on your gateway to make this work. But as i told you, you should use SMTP.
