use the netweaver system database as a MDO datasource

Please have anybody used the netweaver system database as a MDO datasource ?

Is there any problem to use this solution ?

We are using another database as a MDO datasource and I see the created tables MDO000, MDO0047 etc.... we are talking about 4 or 5 tables and a database licence just to it.

Hello Michel, out of any licencing issue, the way forward from MII 12.2 SP3 is to use the Netweaver Database to create and store the MDOs.

So if it is working for the futur releases this should also be working for you. One point though is that you will probably have to export and re-import your data for the migration or if you are deploying Packages MII projects in sca. That will depend on which version you are starting from. I invit you to check the SAP Notes.

Cheers,

Arnaud

Hi Michel,

From SAP MII Rel 12.3 SP 3, MDo is used NetWeaver Database by default. So no need to create separate database and MDO Connector for creating or storing MDO from this service pack.

Thanks & Regards,

Suman
