Hello Experts,
I want to know about how to archive the processed messages on SAP PI (7.3)
I need to propose an optimum solution to client. In that I need to suggest which messages we should archive and for how many days we should archive(time duration). Also I need to tell the deletion and if recovery is possible for those things.
Thanks in advance.
As for your other questions... it all depends... This is something you and your client will need to figure out based on business, legal and infrastructure (e.g. disk space) needs.
Cheers

I dont think any major change from PI 7.1 dual stack to 7.3 dual while doing Archiving deeltion process,
check below wonderfull blog series
Setting up right retention period depends on DB size and your customer should have clear startegy about this, if customer didnt have PI Architect then Basis/PI SME has too suggest with stategy to maintain house keeping jobs.
I would recommend 30days but if youa re dealing with high volume better to use below 30 .
check with your customer .
Regards,
Raj

Hi Rahul,
It depends upon Monitoring team's requirement, Client strategy and Resources available from PI server to store messages.
