SAP BASIS APPL 73101 Import/Update has been going on for 3 days (MAIN_IMPORT)

Dear Experts,

We are now trying to update SAP Basis KB73101, it has been ongoing for 3 days, and now is at MAIN_IMPORT process for 2 days. Please advise if it is normal. So far, there is no error message. I'm just worried it works in a loop or there's something wrong.

System info:

Netweaver 7.31

SAP MaxDB

Windows Server 2008R2

SAP ERP 6 EHP 6

Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ferdinand

Anything on tp logs?

Make sure your background processing, including eventing, works. It might be that the import is waiting for one of the RDD* background jobs.

check the tablespace and filesystem.

Check any tp process is running or not from OS Level..

Check the action log.

Thanks

Hi Kaan

Thanks for your reply. Error occured on Saturday, 'section was terminated'.

We are still analysing the logs at this moment.

On another note, could you please tell me, what is the normal duration for importing SAP Basis component i.e. SAPKB73101?

We might have to start the import process again, however it will be more encouraging if we know the estimate duration of the process.

Thanks

Hello

My upgrade time was usually between 3-4 days for full ERP 6.0 to EHP6 upgrade with all packages selected. (Solution Manager stack configuration + download + implementation)

Are you using latest SUM and SPAM? Also are you using latest r3trans and tp? Another thing I saw some people had problems with Oracle DB and when they applied latest patch to Oracle their upgrade problem was solved. Are you using latest version of MaxDB?

Another thing, did you get any dumps on your system?
