Activate quality at storage location

Hi Friends ,

We are having two storage locations (S1 and S2) under s single plant say P001 .Now what we want is  , quality should be activated for only one of these storage locations and not at the plant level . What we are thinking is to control this by using a particular movement type of individual storage locations and then activating the quality against movement type which is associated with a particular storage location .

Can somebody suggest is it a good idea or can it be done in some other better way ?

Hi,

Ask your MM consultant to copy 311 movement type as Z11 deactivate quality activation from transaction OMJJ.

Educate the user, during transfer posting, if user needs quality then ask him to use standard movement type 311 if quality not required then ask him to use Z11 movement type.

Hope this will suffice user requirement.

Please check in Material Master (MM02) --> Quality Management view --> Inspection set up --> Select inspection type --> Check in Control insLot = 2 For each Material, batch & storage location.

How will it control quality activation at storage location as my plant is same . So single material number is there .

Dear SAP PM,

Please assign movement type and then go as per below path.

Then you need to active or deactive QM on movement type.

For this you can go in OMJJ --> Enter your movement type --> Deactivate QM inspection / delivery category --> Click on QM not active.
