Mobile Sales

We have a mobility solution in place which communicates back all activities directly to SAP and allows a group of employees to take customer orders and another group to deliver those orders by the next business day. We're now investigating possible solutions to allow for an employee to sell stock in his possession directly to customers.

Within SAP, we would like to manage the stock an employee was assigned. When stock is sold, the required information to create a sales order and billing document to the customer receiving the products is sent to SAP via the mobile device. The stock available should also be reduced. When the employee returns, we will take back possession of any unsold products, reconcile money owed the company from customer sales and bill the employee for any missing/short products only.

What is the best way to manage this in SAP?

The best way to handle this scenario would be Consignment.

As you might be, in this process stock ownship will remain with the company, even though the goods will earmarked to the employee for sales.

JP,

Consignment would be prefect if we could bill the customer and not the employee at the point of sale. I haven't found anything to indicate that a customer other than the consignment customer can be billed. Is there a standard SAP method to allow this?
