icm_http_connection_failed

Hi All,

i have to setup RFC connections   from PI system to ECC system  with user PIAPPLUSER of connection type H(HTTP sconnection to ABAP system).After giving the service number5 <>00 and when i try connection test am getting_

ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED ERROR.

i have attached screenshot for further reference

Hi Ram,

1. To activate the ICM services in your servers.

If not working,

2. Check whether your ICM is running and HTTP port is active in SMICM.

If not,

3. Changing the Service Number in the Communication Channel to the ICM Port number in the receiving system

Hi Srini,

i tried changing the service number 8000 as 00 is instance of my system and i gave string properly in shortcases by too

/sap/xi/engine/?type=entry

am getting the same error ....Any idea

Hi SRINI,

i tried telnet to ECC system too and it works fine and still am getting this error via SM59

ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED ERROR

Hi Ram,

try below,

change the default HTTP port to 1080

And use  IP adress instead of computer name in SM59.

Sory i did not see your previous post ,You have given the document am searching for accurate requirement as the 3rd one .Let me learn it and then implement it .Thanks for your valuable help dude.

ICM is working fine

2. Check whether your ICM is running and HTTP port is active in SMICM.

HTTP,HTTPS SMTP ,IIOP,ports are working fine.

additionally let me know any other further ports has to be enabled too

Hi Srini,

Let me know whether will i have any effects while changing the port number from 5<>00 to 1080.

Should i take any precautions or i can directly go ahead and do the changes too by using CHANGE option
