XI Patching

Hi Gurus,

i have patched my technical sandbox XI system with SPS 12.The release of our XI system is 7.01,kernel release is 720 support level 300.Database os oracle and release is 11.2.0.2.0.i applied the patches successfully in JAVA stack and then i patched the ABAP system.After patching ,the system is showing new support level of existing components.But when i run through sm66 and other transactions ,program is getting terminated and throwing dumps "DDIC_TYPELENG_INCONSISTENT. I ran sgen and regenerated all loads but it didn't help.

I have forgot to secure a PIT backup of the system before paching.Any suggestions?

Hi,

This is well known problem with 720 kernel when it is used with lower releases. Please check SAP note 1636252 and 1610716.

I followed the instructions on the note 1610716.This has resolved the issue.
