Business Objects - How to have a Union in Universe

Hi,

I am very new to BO and have the below question

I have 3 objects joined many to one between object A - B and A - C  , there is also a short cut join B - C.

1. Is it possible to have a Union Kind of Join in BO Universe?

2. Is it possible to update SQL in Report created off a BO Universe?

Your question belongs in the Semantic Layer space.

Hi,

Every join you made in universe is behave like a union in universe whether it may be shortcut join or normal  join

you can modify those SQL  query which is generated from universe it is possible go to edit query and click on sql icon and choose custom query

both the things are possible

it's how you arrange the objects in the query panel . you can unionise from there by doing subqueries etc.

you can preview the sql to check

Hi,

you can in both ways my suggestion is in universe. if you go for join it automatically takes as a union and click on detect button in edit join .it takes cardinality
