Hi All,

In one of my clients, SAP* does not exist but DDIC exists.

Please tell me what can I do?

Copy user from 000 to the client I'm working on?

Bye

Hello Anil,

Incase you don't find SAP* user in SU01 doesn't mean that SAP* user does not exist. You can still login to the client with it's default password PASS.

This is beacuse, SAP* 's password PASS is hardcoded into the SAP kernel.

You will only be login to system if the SAP parameter 'login/no_automatic_user_sapstar ' is set to 0.

If you performed a client copy you did not copy of the user master data. You can do one of two things: 1) manually re-create the users 2) Copy over the client data from client 000.

You can just create him using SU01 and assign the required profiles (compare with client 000).

The question is, why it does not exist.

You can check the change documents for users and find out who did what and when.

Nevertheless, it is not mandatory that SAP* exists on every single client of a system. As long as the value of the profile parameter login/no_automatic_sapstar is set to 1.

If it is set to 0, you have two options: either create the user immediately with a safe password, or change the value of the above parameter from 0 to 1.

Otherwise, your system is extremely vulnerable to attacks.
