Hi
We are trying to use a distribution function that will be used in the Period split function that will distribute the monthly forecast to weekly forecast.
The problem is that the monthly qunatity is distributed but with decimal numbers for example for 1000 pcs if we run the simulation for month 03/2013
01.03.2013 96.774
04.03.2013 225.806
11.03.2013 225.806
18.03.2013 225.806
25.03.2013 225.806
Is there a way the the system round the numbers? even if it is in total not equal to 1000 pcs?
Period split profile:
No of periods=10
Ditribution function:
length=5
Each period =20%
Thanks

Ideas?
Create a new planning book in weeks. Assuming your original in months, and send from the weeks planning book, and test if that rounds first (instead of using your distribtion profile to round from months to weeks) - need to check your period split settings to see if it gives what you want.
Other option may be settings in ECC. Material master. Not sure if there is anywhere here you can set decimal places at a material level.

You could copy the data to another key figure and put a macro in between that rounds the numbers. Just an idea. Havent checked if there is a macro function to do this, but likely there is. Also, you could change the key figure to no decimals.. ie in the Key figure settings if you never need the key figure to have decimals. You would need to test what this does - ie whether it chops off the decimals or rounds.
