universe designer closes while generating LOV

Hi All,

I want to create a cascasding list of values in the designer, however to create them i have created a derived table created joins with the other table.

I have created Cascasding LOV by clicking on Tools -> List of Values -> Create Cascading List of Values

Select the objects on which we want to create LOV and click on Generate LOV.

Designer Automatically closes and does not raise any Error.

I have also tried with One Object to create LOV, same issue.

Please give your inputs on this.

What O/S and SP you using ?

For BO Designer: What product version?  SP level ?  and fix patch ?

BO: 3.1 Base version.

Hi Santosh

BO XI3.1 doesn’t support Windows 7.

You should uninstall BO3.1 from Windows 7 and install XI3.1 SP3 full build, or install XI3.1 on supported operating system such as Windows XP then test the behavior

Hi,

I have created the Cacading LOV Manually, i wnt to still minimize the data.

I have three parameters like Yr, Qtr, Mnth.

Whwn i select year as '2004', quarter as 'Q1' and month as 'Jan'. The data which we get is like

2004    Q1   Jan

2005    Q1   Jan

2006    Q1   Jan.

...        ...    ...

...        ...    ...

...        ...    ...

Do we have any option to get the data as 2004    Q1    Jan only, according to our selection.

you need to look into defining a navigation path between objects, via the custom hierarchy editor

Hi,

When we filter the data by year, Q and month, the SQL which is passing to the report is only "month='Jan' ".

How can i pass the values as year=2004 and Quarter=Q1 and Month = 'Jan'

Please help me how to write the condition to an object to pass the condition as above.
