Dear All;

we need to step this RFC connection for VAR scenario.

We have SAP Router set up from our side with our own public IP and the same for our customer, and both SAPRouters are working fine.

how can we create an RFC connection between our Solman and the cutomers ERP systems, also what entries we need to include in our saproutab file and theirs

we want to construct the RFC connection using the SAPRouter string

Best Regards

Dear Jansi;

Thank you for your help, I really appreciate it.

We have checked the link you have sent us previously, and it was a great help.

But the issue we are facing is this:

We created an RFC connection on the Solution Manager of our customer, and we put the Target Host = /H/Customer SAPRouter_Local IP/S/sapdp00/H/Public IP_Our SAP Router/S/sapdp00/H/Local IP _Our SAP Router/S/sapdp00

But when we do a connection test, the connection fails. We need to know what the parameters

that we need to insert inside the (saprouttab) files on both sides (our SOLMAN, and the customer's SOLMAN)

Dear Jansi;

We have checked the links in page 18, but we could not make much use of them. Anyway we have managed to create the RFC connection successfuly from our solution manager to the customer's solution manager by doing some modifications in the (saproutab) files on both sides, abd by using the proper sap router string in the target host field in our SOLMAN.

The problem we are facing now is that we can't create the RFC connection to connect the other way around (Customer SOLMAN to our SOLMAN).

If you have any idea how to fix it then please share it with us.

Hi dear,

the page 18 has the router document link.. if you followed the link.. you can easily fixed the router string..

and for rfc customer to var .. please refer the document in SAP Note 1359769 .. again this note for EWA generation for var scenario.. but it has the attached document.. that doc has steps for creating  RFC from customer solman to var solman.

Please follow..

If that doesnt help.. pls paste the error log...

Thanks

Dear Jansi;

Thank you for your reply. Please bare with me a little bit as I am going to explain more.

We are aware of the initial document you sent, and also the SAP Note "1359769 " with it's containing document.

The mentioned document describes in general the procedure how to connect the two systems, but it does not contain specific technical details to create such RFC connection.

Anyway we managed to create an RFC connection in one direction from our SOLMAN to their ERP system, but we are not able to create an RFC in the opposite direction.

In our SOLMAN we created an RFC called (custSID@BACK@) in which we used the sap string below as a value for the Target Host field:

/H/R1_Local IP/S/sapdb99/R2_Public IP/S/sapdb99/H/Local IP_ERP

with System Number = 00

We have added (KT and KP) lines to the saprouttab file in both R1, and R2 which made the connection to be successful from our Solman to their ERP.

But when we tried to do the same from the ERP to our SOLMAN the RFC connection was not successful.

The RFC connection we created in the customer's ERP system was:

(VARSID@BACK@) with the sapstring value as below:

/H/R2_Local IP/S/sapdb99/R1_Public IP/S/sapdb99/H/Local IP_SOLMAN

with System Number = 00
