Hi Rakesh,

The term Lanscape represent the<b> systems</b> in a particular environment.

Let's take an example if a company <b>A</b> is there. There might be using different system for their business needs. The system which are using in their business in a paricular environment is called Landscape.Simply Landscape is something which can tell you the system deails.

If at all they are using java,Mainframes,Database..you can say these are the system involved in their Landscape.

In XI point of view we can say three system will be appeared DEV-Developement,QU-Quality System for testing purpose,Pro Sys-Production system.

XI has come up with different Technical system which you can connect to various systems in your landscape.

They are 1) Web AS ABAP

2) Web AS Java

3) Statndalone Java

4) Third party.

Hope I am clear.

Please let me know if you have any queries still.....!

Thanks and Regards,

Chandu.

Yes you can say these are the system involved in Landscape....one more thing is not only Dev,Qua,Prod..Landscape will have all the system which are involved.

Please let me know if you have any more queries?

Hi,

SAP XI customer landscapes contain several separate sub-landscapes for development and tests (DEV), quality assurance (QA), and production (PRD). The sub-landscapes are described in the SAP System Landscape Directory (SLD). There are two basic options for the SLD granularity:

• Multiple SLDs:

&#56256;&#56443; DEV landscape described in SLD_DEV

&#56256;&#56443; QA landscape described in SLD_QA

&#56256;&#56443; PRD landscape described in SLD_PRD

• Centralized SLD

All sub-landscapes, DEV, QA, and PRD, are described in a single SLD_CENTRAL

The basic strategy is to copy the sub-landscape including the Integration Builder and the SLD. The procedure does not depend on which SLD setup was chosen.
