Hello
We have printing problem in Serbia after change of sapgui from 7.20 to 7.30. Indeed there are a lot of hashes ###
We are using frontend printing (acccess method F: Printing on Front End Computer) nad device type:Ms Windows driver: SAPWIN5 ISO5.
Prior to going there from Slovakia I aoud like to discuss with all of you gurus where to look for solution
Thank ou in advance
Jan
This issue es for Type Device, think that you got Basis Release 4.6C or below. SAPGUI 730 as minimal requisite, is that your Basis Release must to be 4.7.

From SAP note 128105:
As of Basis Release 4. 6C, access method 'G' is available and replaces the previous method using access method 'F'. If you use access method 'G', front-end printing is also possible on non-Windows front ends. If you use a terminal server, no other settings are necessary. For more information, see SAP Note 821519.
Access method 'F' is used in earlier releases (lower than 4.6C). As of Release 4.6C, access method 'F' is no longer developed, and no more corrections will be delivered.
Unless you are using 4.6B or an even older release, you should be using access method "G'.

Are you sure you are testing with the same data? What are you actually printing? Listing, PDF, ...
Try device type SAPWIN instead of SAPWIN5. If it doesn't help I would raise a customer message with SAP. Since in both SAP GUI versions the printing is done by the Windows drivers, it shouldn't make any difference whether you are using SAP GUI 7.10, 7.20 or 7.30. What could matter is what access method and device type is being used.
Hi Expert,
Also i am facing same printing problem after updating patch GUI 730 .

Hi Jan,
I understand that in your case, printed document contains lot of hashes in it. That means the data sent
to printer contains some garbled characters.
Hence it is better to check from the SAP GUI component(front end comp) which you are using to populate as well as the send the data. Which screens element you are using ?
Can you give me more details. ?
With kind regards,
-Harsha
