SAP PI and PROXY programming in connection with BW interfaces

Has somebody experience with SAP PI and PROXY programming in connection with BW
interfaces?  Is it possible to read data directly from BW data sources (with Proxy/ABAP) out  of SAP?

The purpose of the procedure is to send data which are extracted for BW (QM standard and customized interface)

directly via SAP PI to other systems without going through BW.  If this kind of access is possible, how are the delta loads handled?

Can a multidimensional BW object be easily rebuilt in SAP/ERP? It could also be helpful to have some strong arguments against this
proposition.
