One Physical Plant with two Excise Groups

Former Member

Hi All,

We are having one physical plant (and we have decided to have only one plant in SAP).

And we have two Excise Registrations.

But, assigning multiple Excise Registration to a same plant is not allowed in SAP.

So, we have decided to create two Excise Groups (each Excise Group will represent different Excise Registration).

And assign two Excise Groups to a single plant (this is possible in SAP, as we can assign multiple excise groups to a same plant).

Please guide us, what challenges we will be facing in future . . .

And also what modifications/developments will be needed are needed in SAP.  . .

Regards,

Nitin

Hi Nitin,

The system does not stop you from having more than one excise group

per plant. However, the user has to ensure that he enters the correct

excise group during transactions.
