log version for message in PI

hi all

we are triggering message from SOAP tool, the mssage comes in to PI system and then go to SRM box.

but in sxmb_moni transaction i can see the message is in log version and does not get processed. 

can some one help me on this why this happens.

below is hte log for the channel seen in PI

com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessageExpiredException: Message f10f5d14-3f6c-11e2-9e30-000001accc12(OUTBOUND) expired.

Hi Kavita,

The message reaches SRM? Can you perhaps do a screen dump of what you see in SXMB_MONI on SRM?

The message expired exception is normal if no response comes back from SRM.

the message does not reach SRM box.

i dont know where to check for the setting done to receive a reply from SRM box. kindly guide me more on this.

Hi Kavita,

Are you trying to tigger a standard SRM Enterprise Service?

1) Can you perhaps try an unit/component test? First try with the SRM side, take the payload from PI and test it through sproxy and see the result and how long it takes for the result.

2) Then test PI through integration directory

3) Also check if SAP note 1471001 applies to you.

4) If tests 1 & 2 work fine but test 1 takes a long time, adjust PI ICM timeout parameters according to SAP Note 824554
