Unable to add a supplier

Hi ,

I am trying to add a supplier in to details section of the shooping cart but this gets shaded out.

How to add a supplier ?

Hello,

Probably authorization FIXED_SUP is missing for role assigned to your user.

This authorization can be found under object BBP_FUNCT.

Hi Niranjan,

You can add Preferred Supplier in Shopping cart not the Supplier? Can you check if you are able to add Preferred Supplier?

The Supplier are usually populated in Shopping cart when you use Catalog vendor or for certain material items you have pre-defined Info record / Contract available (i.e. negotiated Price).

By standard SAP do not allow requester to select Supplier, The reason is Shopping cart is not PO and it is not created by purchasing team. Thats why purchasing department has to identify available contract / Deal etc and convert SC into PO. If your business do require to have supplier be selected by Requester and that way their operation purchaser department get free up then in one of the project i have done set up that let requester put Preferred supplier and then when saving shopping cart in DOC_CHANGE_BADI change Preferred Supplier partner function which is 00039 to Supplier 00016.
