i am very new to SAP and also to this forum. Iam working with ECC 6. how to check 64-bit kernel?

You can see the Kernel and other information
Session Manager(first screen after login)-> System-> Status->then click button near navigate You can see Kernel information

another trick, but from OS level:
disp+work -V

call transaction sm50, pick a work process (for example w0), PROCESS -> TRACE -> DISPLAY FILE, there you will find the info....
