Process order not getting created in ECC from APO

Former Member

Hi Gurus,

When I set the convertion indicator for a planned order in product view in APO, the process order is not getting created in ECC

I get the below message in CPP transaction

Continuous I/O nodes not allowed for sequence-dependent setup activities

The master recipe and relationships looks like this.

The PDS looks like this.

I am having two phases for the first operation. First one is for set up. In scenarios, where I have only one phase for operation, I dont get this error.

Is there something wrong with the relationshiop maintained.

Appreciate your help in analysing this issue.

Thanks,

Joe

Hii Joe,

Go through your BOM, you have maintained distribution key for some of components, you can find which component you are maintain the Distn Key in your PDS by the consumption of component..

Normally the consumption of components should be either

S -> Consumption at start of activity or

E -> Consumption at end of activity

If other than That (C -> Continual Consumption) the error occurs and which impacts to stuck the orders in APO.

Hi Debashis,

You are right there are distribution key maintain for many components.

Can you please elaborate on what should I do to correct this issue. Should I remove the distribution key?

Here is the screenshot of the compoenents in PDS

Appreciate your help.

Hi Joe,

Yes, try removing distribution key and execute your scenario.

Hii Joe,

Sorry for late reply. Yes you have to remove the distribution key, If you'll maintain Dkey , it impacts as continual consumption for the components in your PPM/PDS.

Normally the distribution key maintained for daily supply of partial quantities (distributed over a specific validity period ) for repetitive manufacturing. Which impacts to the component as continuous consumption in APO.

So the consumption of components should be either

S -> Consumption at start of activity or

E -> Consumption at end of activity

If other than That ( C -> Continual Consumption) the error occurs and which impacts to stuck the orders in APO.
