Steps required to create new depot

Dear Gurus,

I need to create a new depot for a client, please suggest me the steps and requirements to do so. It is not coming in Excise purview. Excise invoice is not required to be generated.

I dont understand your requirement that when excise invoice is not required, why do you want to create a new depot ??   You should be aware, if you consider a plant as a depot in SAP, the corresponding sales value will get updated in RG23D register and unless, you create an excise invoice, how the value will be updated ?  For information, even if you dont want the value to be updated in RG23D, you need to create an excise invoice which is a MUST.

Can you please explain the scenario under which, you need this requirement  ?

Hi,

   Copy from the Existing Depot and Rename it with complete Address Details.

assign the New Depot to concerned org.units in the Enterprise structure.

Create Corresponding Storage Locations for the new Depot.

since New depot is not relevant for Excise process you need not do configuration under Logistics General-Tax on goods movement--india.
