Hi All

How to deploy SRM-MDM catalog business package to SAP SMD.I searched in service market place i am not able to find it.

Please help me out.

As per my understanding, SRM-MDM Catalog content deployment and SMD configuration are the two different things. I have explained both of them below:

1. To Deploy BP SRM-MDM Catalog: You should have access to Java Support Package Manager (JSPM) of your SAP NetWeaver Application Server Java installation and follow below steps:
   • Start JSPM.
   • Deploy BPSRMMDM20*.sca file.
     Note: For detailed information, please refer to Component Installation Guide SRM MDM Catalog 3.0.
     
     
2. To Configure SMD for MDM 7.1: You can refer to How to Setup SMD for MDM 7.1 document. Follow below mentioned steps to download:
   • Navigate to https://help.sap.com/nwmdm71
   • Go to Monitoring and Supportability section under System Administration and Maintenance Information section.
   • Click on Monitoring MDM: How-To Guides (ZIP) and download the zip file.
     Note: To download the zip file, SMP login will required.
   • Open MDM71_HowTo_SetupSMDforMDM71.pdf and follow the configuration steps.

I wanted to deploy SRM-MDM catalog repository to MDM 7.1. I uploaded one it is showing status as outdated.

Can you please help me with right Business repository for SRM-MDM catalog that should be uploaded to MDM 7.1

Could you let me know your complete MDM Server version like SAP MDM 7.1 SP07 Patch 13? You can check/ask your MDM server version with basis team.

My MDM server version is 7.1.08.196 so i believe SAP MDM 7.1 SP08 patch 196.

Here you go:

1. Go to https://websmp107.sap-ag.de/swdc (SMP Login credentials required)
2. Click on 'S' alphabet under A-Z Index --> Support Packages and Patches hierarchy tab
   
   
   
3. Click on SAP MDM CATALOG MGMT. 7.01 under SAP SRM Catalog link
   
4. Click on Entry by Component --> Business Content Repository
   
5. Click on OS independent and download the latest SRM-MDM catalog business content.

I did the same but i am getting the status as Outdated.

Please guide if i am doing anything wrong in steps.

Sandeep,

Right click on the repository and choose Update Repository option and then login with standard content credentials. You can try the following login credentials:

1. User: Admin
   Pass: sapmdm
   
   
2. User: Admin
   Pass:       (Blank)

Note: User name and passwords are case sensitive.
