Dear sd gurus i have read in vkoa application V
it subdivides the usage of conditions for example pricing in different application ares SALES AND DISTRIBUTION (V) and purchasing
but i am not clear on this plz give me any examples
i am very thank ful to you
Dear Venu Gopal Reddy
Usage determines which area the conditions are used.
eg:
A | Pricing |
B | Output |
C | Accnt Determination |
D | Mat. Determination |
E | Rebate |
F | Index |
G | Listing & Exclusion |
N | Free goods |
Application further subdivides the usage of a Condition (for example, pricing) for use in different application areas (for example, sales & distribution or purchasing).
V: Sales and Distribution
M: Purchasing.
Thanking you!

Hello Venu,
Also internally SAP ssystem needs to distinguish the data between various modules (Applications).
Thus VKOA setting is specific to SD module so the Table is clearly marked with application V i.e. sales & Distribution.
Similar example can be given for Condition Type Table - T685A. Now this table stores the Condition Types from varios Modules, thus they are distinguished within Modules by application as V- Sales/Distribution & M - Purchasing.
Thanks,

This is also parallelly related to the corresponding Transaction Codes. For example, all
and this is an in-built logic by SAP for many programs.
