How to download mapping

Hi SAP PI Gurus,

How can I download PI 7.1 mapping?

Hi Krishna,

use the following step to download the map:

Step 1) Go to the PI/XI message mapping and click on the mapping.

Step 2) Press Control+Shift+0 and the below screen opens

Step 3) Click on the export message mapping button.

Step 4) Save the.xim file on the desktop

Hi Harish,

I tried this (Control+Shift+0) to open, but nothing is being open in PI mapping. We had done the SP9 upgrade recently, It was opening prior to upgrade. Any other setting needs to be done?

Hi Krishna,

There are a few possible reasons for this (depending on the exact PI version you're running).

- If you are going to use Daniel Graverson's PI Documenter to convert the xim file to a spreadsheet representation, there might be a Windows tweak required to get this working - it's also documented on Daniel's website.

- I also seem to recall this feature being subsequently removed due to a security risk, e.g. I had it working on PI 7.11 SP6 and when we upgraded to PI 7.11 SP9 it was no longer available. See SAP Note 1711728 for the exlpanation.

Disclaimer: I tried this a long while back and it worked quite nicely, not sure of it's current status...
