'System Error 5' while starting Unwired Server

Dear All,

Greetings!

I am facing a problem while starting the Unwired Server.

Following is the error I see when I try to start up:

'System Error 5 has occurred'

'Access is denied'

Please provide with the solution.

Dear Luke and Jitendra,

We have three options for this problem:

1. Alter the dates

2. Registery Deletion

3. Re-install on other machine

I have tried 1 and 3, it works.

Hi Deepak and Luke,

Even you can install the same setup"(30days trial version) on same machine after formatting the OS.

Hi Deepak,

As you are working on either Windows7 or Windows 2008 server. There is a concept of UAC in it which means that you should Right click on the shortcut (executable) and select "Run as administrator" option.

I hope that you simply double clicked on desktop shortcut to start the unwired server which means without admin prelivilages. Due to which OS denied your access to start services.

To check license problem, you can go to server\UnwiredServer\log folder and check the bootstrap log. It will display license problem if any.

Temporary license is only valid for 30 days on one machine.

go to Run> type services.msc

and check the status of server.

it should be as started.

Dear Jitendrra,

In services also its not showing as started.

Check the screenshot:

When I try to start it from SCC, then also it shows status as 'Stopped'.

I think it can be licensing issue, because suddenly this problem appeared.

I installed it from a CD.

How to check the license expiry date?

i was talking about this server's status:

did you install it as trial version?

if it is for 30 days , you can chck it from control panel that when did u install the same?

Dear Jitendra,

This server status is 'Started'. But what does it has to do with Unwired Server?

Yea 30 days are over. But still is there any chance of other problem?

Because we received a genuine CD for installation.

if you have installed the SUP server on the same machine, then "server status should be as started"

its a trial version..right??

if yes, then you are facing the prob because of it. i believe so.

Yea now even I believe so.

But nowhere it's showing that 30 days has been expired, that's why I doubt if there can be some other issue or not?

you wont be seeing any message saying 30 days has been expired

you would be able to connect to your SUP server.

i can say this because i have worked on trial version before.
