Technical Monitoring: Monitoring SAP OS process and Debug staus

Hi,

I have configured Technical monitoring in solman 7.1 sp06 but it looks like its not able to monitor SAP OS processes like gwrd, icman, dw.sap<SID>, ms.sap<SID>.

It also not have monitoring capability to monitor work process in DEBUG status.

Any idea on how to monitor these with perticular metrics/ metrics settings?

Hi Rohan,

It is possible to monitor the OS processes using custom metrics. Pls go through below blog of mine, I have shared how to monitor OS processes using TM.

Key is to have the metrics in place in local RZ20. We had scripts in place at OS level which reported the OS processes data to local ccms uing oscoll.
