Did you mean:

all rows for (item) must contain a reference designator value (Message 14930)

Hi,

We are having a situation when we transfer a BOM from our ERP system (non-SAP) using Web-services.

The same item exists on two different BOM Positions. One Pos has a reference designator whilst the other

don't have a reference designator.

When transferring we get the "all rows for (item) must contain a reference designator value (Message 14930)"

and also when adding a BOM manually I see that the same error message comes up.

Can this be overruled by a setting somewhere?

Best Regards,

Johan

Hi Johan,

I would play with "Ref Des is required" and "Ref Des must be unique" system rules.

Hi Sergiy,

Do you know if this should work?

If I set Ref Des is required to YES or NO, then the error message is always
"Reference designator value for (item) is missing (Message 14931)".

When setting the Ref Des must be unique to TRUE or FALSE then the error message is always

"all rows for (item) must contain a reference designator value (Message 14930)"

So I can not make it work just by chaning those rules.

Johan,

This issue is covered by SAP Note 1794127.

For now, I can think of the following workaround:

- specifying Ref Des for each row;

- specifying * or # revision for the second row.

Sorry, it is not released yet.

The fix will be provided in the next patch of 6.0.

Hi,

Thank you for the information. Do you also know the planned time schedule for the next patch?

Johan,

I do not see any dates for this fix. It looks as if "next release" should be read as "future release"

Sergiy
