Hello everybody,
While upgrading from PI 7.11 to 7.31 with SUM the java deployment phase fails with the error descriped in SAP note 1383461 (https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1383461) , which leaves 2 options:
(1) Exporting the reguarding tables from AS java database, deleting them and reimporting them after the upgrade has finished
(2) Upgrading SERVERCORE to a higher SP and using the option mentioned here: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/1731172
This leads to some questions:
Regarding option (1): Has somebody done this before or can advice how to do this?
Regarding option (2): Can I upgrade SERVERCORE component and resume the upgrade after Preprocessing-Roadmap step or would I even have to start it from the beginning? And: if the dbSchemaModificationStrongMode was used- will the data in the table reside or will it be deleted while changing the databse schema when deploying the components?
Or is there even another option?
Thank you for your help,
regards
Phillip
Here's an exerpt from the error shown:
dbs-Error: Refuse due to data loss in column STATUS
dbs-Error: Refuse to modify nullable column STATUS to not null without default
dbs-Info: ColumnsAction = REFUSE, IndexesAction = null, PrimaryKeyAction = null
dbs-Error: Modification is refused for XI_AF_CPA_SYNC_NOD see note 1383461
The table had to be dropped with SAP<SID>DB schema user from Database Studio. After having done this the deployment was successfull.
