Hello,
We're new to SAP on Windows (have been running on iSeries) and I'm curious ... how often do you patch your Windows servers that run SAP? Is this the same frequency that you patch the rest of the Windows servers in your environment?
Our security team pushes for an every other month schedule, but with the number of SAP systems in our landscape, and consequently number of associated Windows servers, this doesn't seem sustainable. It also makes us wonder if that leaves enough time to test the patches.
What do all of you do? Monthly? Quarterly? Every other month?
One other question, have any of you ever experienced a negative issue based on application of Windows patching?
Any insight would be appreciated.
Thank you.
~TJ

Hi,
From SAP prespective, Normally Microsoft release the security patch for which you can find sap note, if any patch are released. You need to upgrade your OS when you do SAP or DB upgrade.
