Hi All,
We are on SRM 7.0 SP level 11 and ECC 6.0.
When a approver tries to approve a PO in SRM the message "Backend error: Unit of measure EA not defined for language 1D in SRM" is displyed.
The UOM EA has all the required languages (including user's logon lang.) translated into in the system. How does the system come to language "1D" when there is no such language in the system ? The EA has all the required details like ISO maintained in it.
Note: The PO is a "Describe item" type and doesnt have material in it. So material group and other required details in it.
Please advise.
Regards,
Sambit
Hello Sambit,
Im sorry for the delay to response your question, have you checked profile parameteres in both systems? Im sure you have 1D assigned as an installed language.
Go to RZ10, and check next parameters for your instance:
zcsa/system_language = 1
zcsa/installed_languages = 1DE
Tell your basis team to check it, in my client we do not have the "1" value, we have set just the main language.
Then run RSCPINST to check the installed langagues are correct by simulation.
Tell me if these clues solves your issue

Hi Sambit,
You have created PO with free text. Thats not an issue. Kindly explore the transaction CUNI in both SRM and ECC systems and verify whether all the parameters are maintained properly

Ashok
