SAPHOSTAGENT - Configure SAPOSCOL from dbserver

Hi all,

I've installed SAPHOSTAGENT in DB server and configured remote entry in RZ21, connection is working but I cannot see any db server data in ST06 transaction, saying RFC to SAPOSCOL is not available.

In fact, under SM59 there's no destination to SAPOSCOL but has I've said, it works from RZ21. I've search for documenttion but I can't understand what's wrong.

We are with SAP NW 7.3 with 720 kernel EXT and SAPHOSTAGENT in last version available.

Please read Note 1491115 - OS monitors ST06n, OS07n do not display data in CEN system. Hope it help to resolve your issue.

Hi Pedro,

When you install SAPHOSTAGENT then it replaces the regular saposcol file. After the installation the saposcol at location “/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/" should be active instead of “/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/exe/run/”.

If saposcol at later path is active then you have to kill that process and restart the SAPHOSTAGENT so that the latest saposcol can become active and system starts reading data using this.
