Hi Everyone

I am aware that the relationship 1 technical system  can have N business systems .

Would like to understand the threshold for  'N' here , On what parameters do we have to restrict the count on 'N'

Thanks

Anusha

Hi Anusha,

Normally ECC system clients will start from 000 to 999.  If your using all clients for that ECC system so you can create 1000 business systems under one technical systems.  It's depend on your requirement how many clients ur using.

Thanks,

Satish.

Thanks for your reply and Yes I go with it ..Specifying my requirement here .

ECC - External party communicaiton through SAP PI  , ECC- SAP PI - SAPII- Externall partner

we choose to create one technical system referencing SAP II and multiple business systems addressing each external party . With business systems , Either value mapping requirement can be addressed and as well monitoring will be eased ..If 10 matmas message are transferred from ECC to Ext part 1  to  3  and if a message fails for part 1 , having business systems will ease the indentification of hte interface  .(Receiver interface will alwys be SAP II standard message ).

1.Is there any other method  that I could use to  handle this situation .

2. If 10 million partners are present across geographies , I would have 10 million business system. What would be the impact on SLD having these many BS and

3. Considering 1 technical syste m:N business system , Does  'N' have a limit for number of business systems assigned under a single technical system ?

4. As per hte current project strategy , Value mappings use business sytems for the agency . Is there any ways I can handle valuemapping without using busines systems , may be from partner functions in the IDOC

Your inputs are highly valuable

Thanks

Hi Anusha,

As per my knowledge there is no limitation for creating Business Systems under 1 Technical Systems.

Let's wait for the experts response.

Thanks,

Satish.

Hi Anusha,

It depends on how many different type Business Applicaitons you have on the smae Technical System.

Example: TS: TS_Manufacture

BS1: For Sales application Transactions

BS2: For Finance application Transactions

BS3: For Service application Transactions

BSN:  ......

That I can understand .. will 'N' depend on PI sizing ?

say 10 million business systems , Scenario ideally would be to define business systems for each interfacing application (No business components in terms of company' sinternal use )

Lets take an example,

You have ECC system in your landscape and it has 3 clients(eg:210,220,230) in this case you can create only max 3 business systems for ECC technical system.

There is no rule like you need different business system for every interface,ideally we create business system for each differet type fo system.

FTP--->One busines system

JDBC-->One Business System

JMS-->One Business System............

All FTP scenarios you can use FTP bussiness system to differentiate easily.
