Adaptive RFC model reimport - Issues

Hi

I am using NWDS 7.0.11 version.  My backend ABAP team changed one parameter size(from size 4char to 8 char) in the backend RFC.

Do i need to reimport the model? or if i make RFC metadata cache invalidation will work?

Please suggest

Dear Shankar,

                        There are times, when  RFC metadata cache invalidation works, but it is advisable to reimport the model., since it is a sure solution to the issue.

Hello Shankar,

Yes, you need to re-import the model.

SAP suggests the metadata cache invalidation. But, its a better practice and most times a necessity to re-import the model for any changes in backend metadata.

By re-import you ensure that change in RFC is applied to the proxy classes generated in your model.
