STO to include while MRP run demand calculation

Hi All,

We have a requirment in which we want to include all outstanding Inbound Stock Transfer Order (STO) quantities (ie. STOs that represent Demand on the plant running MRP) in its calculation when recommending order quantities in MRP

For example current stock showing in MD04 is 500 and PO raised quantity is 2450 .so available quantity is 2950. And there is STO raised for another plant for 200 quantiy.

Reorder point qty set for material is 2900.  When we ran MD03 on it and there is no requisition is suggested.

If the STO demand was being taken into account as the user wants then it would have compared 2750 quantity against reorder point of 2900 and generated a Purhase REQ.  As it is it is comparing 2950 against reorder point of 2900 and therefore recommending nothing

Please advice.

Thanks

Mohit,

Manual reorder point VB only considers current stock level in determining whether or not a shortage exists in the Net Requirements Calculation.

Your problem could be solved by using an MRP type other than consumption type planning (e.g. one of the "P*" MRP types).

Or, you could stay with reorder point, but configure a 'Reorder Point" MRP type that considers external requirements.  MRP type V1 would be a good starting point; but you will have to decide exactly which external requirements you want this MRP type to consider.  OMDQ > Copy V1 to a new type > then modify the new MRP type to respect the requirements you want.  Then, change the Material Master to contain the new MRP type.
