What is Limit of Xchanger ? How we can update this Limit ?

Hi All,

I am using Xchanger.bat for importing of Master data Item records in SAP ME Database on command line prompt.

I am referring the Xchange document of SAP for the same.

I have observed the following things :

1) While loading the xml for 2000 items its taking 59 seconds.

2) While loading the xml for 4000 items its taking 146 seconds.

3) While loading the xml for 6000 items its taking 220 seconds.

4) While loading the xml for 8000 items its taking 292 seconds.

5) While loading the xml for 10000 items its giving the following error

So I want to know, is there limit for Xchanger.bat to proceed with records ?

If yes, then how we can change that Limit ?

Awaiting for your reply.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Asif

Hello Asif,

It could be that you reached transaction timeout that is usually set to 300 seconds. Check and boost the timeout setting as per note 1664929.

Hi Konstantin,

Thanks for the reply.

I used the note 1664929 and made the changes in j2ee.

After that I ran the Xchanger.bat with 10000 item record xml but still its failing wiithin 10 seconds.

Kindly suggest any other alternative.

Thanks

Hello Asif,

If it fails in 10 sec - then it should not be timeout issue. I would recommend to check NW logs to see what the error is. From the stack trace it looks like there could be P4 problem. Anyway if you do not find a meaningfull hint where to look - open support ticket to handle this.

Asif,

Please check SAP Note 1787235 just in case, though it should not be related to this issue. And if it does not indeed, then I would agree with Konstantin about P4 being a root cause.
