CCMSPING registration for monitoring

Hello All,

                 I am trying to register the ccmsping for configure the availability monitoring from solution Manager 7.1 to other Satellite Systems ( ECC 3 System landscape)

While configure the CCMSPING from Satellite with below command  in windows server 2008 R2

ccmsping -R -push -n00

Completed the configuration with return code - 0 but the RFC created in the solution manager is not working.

while checking the dev_rfc.trc file in the CCMS Folder , i found the below error

I am using the kernel version : 720. Please suggest your solution to fix this issue .

Hi Sebastian,

have you checked the SAP Gateway Security settings? Specifically the entry for reginfo? You can check the setting this way:

1. Transaction SMGW

2. Goto -> Expert Functions -> External Security -> Display (Reg. Info)

3. Search for an entry like this: P TP=hostname.servicename HOST=IP from remote system CANCEL=IP from remote system ACCESS=*

4. Addiontal entrys may be necessary:

a) as point 3., but HOST, CANCEL and ACCESS =local

b) as point 3., but HOST, CANCEL and ACCESS =internal

5. Check destination in SM59 again

6. Check logfile on the remote host again

7. You should now find a like INFO: RFC service -DCCMS registered successfully at SID gateway sapgwNN on host hostnameCEN

hostname=name of the remote host

servicename=name of the service on the remote host

IP=IP-Adress of the remote host

SID=SID from the CEN system

NN=Instancenumber of CEN system

hostnameCEN=name of the CEN system

You need to install diagnostic agent for Solman 7.1. CCMS is not used for monitoring.

But we like to configure the CCMSPING for Availability Monitoring.
