Extended Classic scenario

Hi experts,

I have one doubt in the extended classic scenario, kindly explain.

I have maintained product category ABC in the SRM system.

In the Back end system determination configuration setting, I have maintained source system as well as target system as back end ECC system (This is Classic scenario) for this product category ABC.

Also we have activated extended classic scenario.

Then this case, during SC creation how system will respond?

According to the back end system determination configuration, back end ECC system will be determined as target system for follow on document PO.

But according to extended classic scenario activation, target system should be SRM system.

How system will respond?

Could you please explain this scenario

Thanks in advance

Regards

KRK

Hi KRK,

The system will behave as "Extended Classic Scenario"

The PO will be created in the SRM system.

You will have to implement BADI if you want to make the system behave as Extend Classic and Classic based on product category.

Hi Nishant,

Thanks for the quick response.

Assume that we have not implemented any BADI.

Then if extended classic scenario is activated, system will not consider back end system determination which is configured based on the product category.

Even though for the product category ABC, target system is back end ECC system for follow on document PO creation system will not consider this setting and PO will be created in SRM system according to extended classic scenario.

This is my understanding.

Please correct me, if my understand is wrong
