SAPGUI for HTML Issue - URL parameters not transferring to transaction fields after recent upgrade

Former Member

Hello

We have a WebDynpro report for User details. If someone wants to manage the same, we direct them to SAPGUI for HTML. Till recent upgrade we were able to pass the Username to SU01 transaction.

After the upgrade we face two issues

1. A security popup as shown below come when launching the transaction from WD

2. The transaction opens but the username is not transferred to the username field. I can however see the same in the URL of the page.

Any help on this will be really great.

Regards,

Jai

Hi Jai,

What did you upgrade too?

What is the URL that you call?

http://<hostname>:<port>...................../webgui~transaction=su01

If you accept the Security Warning does the Applet work correctly?

Thanks for the reply Oisin.

We upgraded to

SAP_BASIS    701    0011    SAPKB70111    SAP Basis Component

SAP_ABA    701    0011    SAPKA70111    Cross-Application Component

Here is the URL

http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/gui/sap/its/webgui?sap-client=500&~transaction=su01&OKCode=/00&%20usr0...

If I accept the security warning, the applet opens the transaction. But the values are not passed to the user name field.

Please help.

Regards,

Jai

Dear Jai,

What BASIS where you on prior to SAP_BASIS    701    0011    SAPKB70111

and has the Kernel changed at all? What is now the current version?

Please review the following WIKI:

How to prefill fields and skip
first screen with webgui?

"

Parameter ~okcode is obsolete for skipping screens

"

Oisin

Hello Jai,

The popup you are seeing will happen only once per user. See SAP note 1555523 for details about the new WEBGUI Java applet.

It is a little bit strange that the applet is called, because as far as I know, SU01 does not have an interaction with the local PC when opens.

It is also not recommended mixing Web Dynpro ABAP applications and ITS-related services. There are a few issues involving both technologies.

Cris
