Hi All
This is a distributed system
I have applied latest kernel patch in development & testing server , its ok
but in Production Server , after applying the kernel patch , I couldn't startsap
The error as per below
CBJPAEGLECCAP:ecpadm 37> startsap
Checking db Database
Database is not available via R3trans
-------------------------------------------
Database db must be started first
Log on to remote server and start database
CBJPAEGLECCAP:ecpadm 38> R3trans -d
This is R3trans version 6.23 (release 721 - 17.09.12 - 20:12:05 ).
unicode enabled version
R3trans finished (0000).

Copy the same kernel files in directory /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS00/exe as well and restart SAP system.

try start the db manually from database server

are you implying that the database was running, but startsap cannot detect it correctly? can you attach trans.log file here?
run disp+work command using ecpadm, verify the release level whether it match the level you were trying to apply.

What is your DB and OS ? Did you upgrade DBSL file along with Kernel upgrade ?
