Hi,
We have created 2 new 'Z' characteristics with object dependencies and then assigned these to the batch class.
Within the Batch class are SAP standard characteristics (LOBM etc) and the 2 new 'Z' characteristics.
When we view the material specification in QS61 we cannot see the SAP standard characteristics (LOBM) but we can see the 2 new 'Z' characteristics?
Can I ask how does QS61 determine which characteristics it displays on the screen? Is there a master data setting or a configuration setting for this?
For your reference.. LOBM_VFDAT (expiration date of shelf life) field already exists in usage decision screen. It's SAP standard.

LOBM characteristics are not displayed in the material specification screen. They cannot be linked with master inspection characteristics so there is no purpose in having them in the specification.
In addition characteristics of a DATE or CURRENCY format also will not be shown.
Characteristics that do not use catalogs will also not be displayed in the material specification.
Basically, if you cannot link the general characteristic to a master inspection characteristic in the master inspection characteristic main screen, you won't see it on the material specification.

Hi Gary,
only reference inspection characteristics will display in material specifications.
Please check the MIC once again.
