Merging two diffrent SAP Application in one server

Dear Friends,

We are running SAP CRM development server in one server and SAP SRM on another server.

Now I want to merge both system in one server without using VM.

Both application having different instance ID and no.

Now Issue is that there is dir. /usr/sap/trans  will be common now can I change /usr/sap/trans to /usr/sap/crmtrans for CRM and /usr/sap/srmtrans for SRM  ?

Parameter DIR_TRANS is changable.

Please suggest and tell me what otherthings needs to care ?

Hi Ganesh,

You have to reconfigure STMS configuration for both the the server.

Thanks for your valuable information.

This means we  can create a dir /usr/sap/transxyz for another system and existing system can have same directory as /usr/sap/trans ?

Hi Ganesh,

Yes, you can continue to use the existing trans directory for one of the systems.

However its better to have distinguishable Trans directories for each system.
