Cannot logon to visual administrator and cannot even telnet <hostname> 50000 on BI Prod server

I starting running the uptime steps of EHPI and got stuck at the step where I was asked to confirm the password for the J2ee password.  At this point realised that the following issues occur:

1. I cannot logon to the Visual adminstrator and get the following error message:

UNABLE TO LOOKUP CONNECTION DEFAULT

http://cbsbwprd:8101/msgserver/text/logon returned empty list of connection parameters

2.  I cannot access any URL's for port 8000 and get the following error message:

Service cannot be reached

What has happened?

URL http://cbsbwprd:8000/useradmin/index.jsp call was terminated because the corresponding service is not available.

Note

  • The termination occurred in system CBP with error code 404 and for the reason Not found
  • The selected virtual host was 0 .

What can I do?

  • Please select a valid URL.
  • If you do not yet have a user ID, contact your system administrator.

Lastly, i noticed that the files in

/usr/sap/CBP/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/dispatcher/bin/services

and

/usr/sap/CBP/DVEBMGS00/j2ee/cluster/server0/bin/services

are different to the DEV systems in size and the date of the executables are from 2009 and the date on Dev are for the 22 Oct 2012....should these have been updated during the kernel upgrade or how do these items get updated?

Hi, after upating some missing kernel files in the/usr/sap/CBP/DV*/exe directory we are not at the following situation;

Dear Razia,

"
Cannot provide the current ABAP master system because the responsible
system landscape is currently not available.
"

Please start configtool, go to cluster-data - global server
configuration - services - com.sap.security.ume.service.

Then change ume.r3.mastersystem to the right alias.

Afterwards save the changes and restart the J2EE server. And let me
know the result.

Thanks and Regards,

Vipin

Hi,

"Group "Administrators" does not exist.
com.sap.security.api.NoSuchGroupException: Group "Administrators" does
not exist."

So, if you can
logon with the SAP* user you can recreate the Administrators group
in the Security Provider service.

- Then add the Administrator user to this group
- Then assign the following Security Roles to this group
     - administrators, KeystoreAdministrator, KeystoreViewsCreator,
       all, guests

Then try to logon as Administrator.

Regards, Premsukh
