Hello all,
We have HANA 1.0 Platform edition with SPS 04 on SUSE Linux. We were trying to install BW on HANA with SAP Netweaver 7.3 EhP1.
the installation was stuck at connecting to database server. And we found HANA DB is down.
We tried to start the server with "./HDB start " but all other services are not started. which is shows in attached screenshot.
I tried starting the services using" hdbnameserver & " but it was stopping at "run as transaction master" stage and message shows "rejected: querytree while starting(active=3 starting =2)
We also tried starting ./HDB admin and other services but it says
file "/usr/sap/HAD/HDB00/exe/python_support/topoView.py" line 5646, in refresh
config=apps.ns.getLandscapeConfiguration()
Error: 5521 nameserver communication timeout ;
nameserver hana:30001 not initialized. retry in 5 sec..
Can you please help us to start the system ? It is on very high priority now as we have a customer demo in two days.
Regards,
-Ravi.

Hi Murali,
Sorry for the great delay..
Please check if the name server is running or not.. by # ps -ef | grep hdb
If you find it is running then kill the name server..
-And stop all services
-then, start all services with #hdbnameserver &
- ps -A | grep hdb - this will list all services which are running..
- start db - HDB start
This solved my problem..
Regards,
-Ravi.
Hi Ravi,
I know this is old, but did you manage to solve it? If yes, mind to share?
Thanks,
