Dear Guys,

I have a data field in a table with VARBINARY Data type, When I create an Analytic View in HANA Studio based on this table, I am getting error that VARBINARY datatype is not supported. I don't want to change the datatype of this field, can some one tell me how to solve this issue?

Dear

This can be related to a bug in the HANA studio. A workaround can be to switch off the validation check.

You can do this by switching off the validation. In HANA studio, go to upper menu and click on window - preferences - modeler - validation rules - <scroll down> Data Foundation - Large object data type check rule

Save + activate your view again

I've had this error out of the blue where a view activated fine the last time I was in the studio and without any changes I got the error message, the next time I was in the studio so looks like a bug to me somehow.

Best regards

Tom
