Installing SAPSPRINT fails

Dear all,

we have an  SAPSPRINT 7.1 task running on an virtual Windows-2003 SP2 Server. Yesterday we wanted to replace it by the new 7.3 PL3 version but are facing a problem. We have uninstalled the old sapsprint, and started xSPrint730_3-20009690.exe. For a few seconds there was the extraction-Screen to be seen, afterwards the screen just vanishes. There was no error message at all, no hint at all about what could be the reason for this behavior. It also happens on installing older versions of sapsprint too, in my opinion there is something wrong with the server itself.

Can somebody please give me a hint what the reason for this error could be? Are there somewhere any installation log´s I could look at?

Check windows Even Log for errors:

Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> Application

Did you reboot your server after the uninstallation of the previous version of sapsprint?

Did you check the installation log C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SAPSPrint\Logs\sapsprint.dbg

there is nothing in sapsprint.dbg regarding aborted installation.

Can you please attach the log file?

Also did you check event log as Pavel suggested below?
