Hi,

The error is ORA-01031 : insufficient Privileges

                         SP2-0640: Not connected

                          sqlcode 1031

By the way, just curious have anyone tested integration with sap ecc6 on data protector 7.0. I understand ecc6 onwards the oramid user no longer in use is being replace by OPS$ORAMID . How can I configure this user to dp7.0 to integrate with sap ecc6

Regards

Hi Vince,

Use system user for Oracle Login.

and, for OS user - ora<sid>

Group Domain Name - dba

I think this will work in DP 7 as well.

Thanks

For Oracle Login user should have sysdba authorization.

Hi Vince,

Why are u entering OPS$ORAMID as DB User? I think sys or system (with sysdba privilege) will be the right choice there.

Thanks

Hi Kumar,

Attach is the requirement from sap for your referrence

REQUIREMENTS FOR BACKUPS USING RMAN

BRBACKUP and BRARCHIVE support backups using the Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN). To perform database backups, RMAN requires SYSDBA privilege. To enable RMAN backups (for example, incremental backups) from the transaction DBACOCKPIT or DB13 (DBA Planning Calendar), the OS users <sid>adm (UNIX) and SAPSERVICE<SID> (Windows) must be entered in the corresponding operating system groups:

UNIX OS User

OS Group

DB Role

DB User

ora<sid>

dba

oper

SYSDBA

SYSOPER

SAPDBA

OPS$ORA<SID>

<sid>adm

dba

oper

SYSDBA

SYSOPER

SAPDBA

OPS$<SID>AD

As written on the table the syydba has already been replace by OPS$ORA<SID>, that why I'm using this account. Kindly advice??

Hi Vince,

Please check the OPS$ user configuration and read the notes, below;

Note 400241 - Problems with ops$ or sapr3 connect to Oracle

Note 361641 - Creating OPS$ users on UNIX

If I understand correctly, OPS$ORAMID exist at the OS level. Why did you created this user? Instead use the "ora<sid>" user.

Could you specify exactly what error you are getting and copy the error fro the latest logs if there are any?
