I understood that using the leading ledger FMGLFLEXT in new G/L as discussed on this forum could include fields Fund and Grant in new G/L postings (if configured as dimensions and used in FM).
But I see that there is also something called Budgetary Ledger which writes to the G/L.
Is implementation of the Budgetary Ledger also needed to update the new G/L with FM dimensions?
Thanks for your input

Ellen,
The budgetary ledger is meant to fulfill US Federal Government requirements for an accounting ledger that maintains US Treasury-mandated Budget Status accounts. These accounts must be updated (debited or credited) whenever a document is posted or changed in Funds Management resulting in a change to the budget, commitments or actuals.
Use of the budgetary ledger is not required to update the New GL with FM dimensions. Further there are two NGL tables FMGLFLEXT and PSGLFLEXT. PSGLFLEXT contains additional dimensions (RE_ACCOUNT) to be used if for cash flow reporting.
Thanks
