Intercompany drop ship process with Plant in SAP using STO

HI,

Has anyone come across a process request, whereby supplying plant is in SAP but using 3rd party drop ship process.

The legal requirement is to have a purchase order but does not need to recieve goods, delivery and PGI in recieving entity. but we still want to track delivery from our supplying factory.

This is the expected process flow

Requesting plant

Create SAP sales order (TAS)

Create PO with reference to PR

PO is account assignment and drop ship.

Supplying plant

Ship goods to customer with reference to PO(using deliveries)

Complete Intercompany billing

Recieving plant creates end customer billing.

This process is combination of STO , with delivery and without GR, Delivery (on requesting site).

If any one has any comments or suggestions are welcome.

I think that this process is quite possible. Did you tried this? Are you facing any issues?

Moreover you have mentioned it as legal requirement? In which country, it is a legal requirement?

Hi,

We tried the process in our development system but it does not work, the moment we use a vendor that is linked to plant then system does not drop ship process.

and yes, it is a legal requirement for China where you need a purchase order when you import goods from supplying factory outside China.
